The University of Arizona, Bio Science Research Lab
A Higher Education Full Campus AV Installation Cast Study
The University of Arizona gave our team at Level 3 Audiovisual the opportunity to propose an offer for Audio Visual installation & services to their new Bio Sciences Research Laboratories Building. Our team has assisted in many college, universities, and educational institutions integration of AV technology into their classrooms, lecture halls, simulation labs, and auditoriums. We understand the vital role technology plays in today’s educational spaces – as well as the importance that these systems remain dependable for your students. Due to our vast experience in audio visual integration for higher education institutions, our team at Level 3 Audiovisual qualified and received the opportunity to move forward with the AV integration for this campus project.
The University of Arizona’s Bio Science Research Laboratories Building Included:
Large Conference Rooms
The buildings large conference rooms now have systems that function as both a presentation room and a video conferencing space. These collaboration rooms are equipped with dual flat panel displays, mounted to the front of the room. Sources for the presentation systems or as content for video conferencing sessions include: Blu-ray (local presentation only), owner-furnished computer, HDMI & VGA w/audio connections in the conferencing table. To connect all sources, we installed a fixed Io 8×8 matrix switch. We mounted a PTZ camera above the displays to capture the room for far end participants, along with boundary microphones installed at the table – picking up in-room speech for the far-end to hear on a video call. Other items include: 10” touch screen for presentation, volume, room mode, video conferencing, and camera control. A Room Scheduling panel, and Dual 10R sliding equipment racks within credenzas.
Small & Medium Conference Rooms
These rooms are designed specifically as a presentation space only. A single flat panel display is mounted at the front of the room. Sources for presentation include: Owner furnished computer, HDMI only via wall plate connection. The presentation switcher will manage audio routing. Ceiling Speakers and an amplifier will reinforce local program audio. 10 button control panel that provides control over the room power, presentation source, and volume. A single 10RU sliding equipment rack will be installed in the room within the credenzas.
Lobby Video Wall
The Bio Science Research Laboratories lobby welcomes you with a 1×5 array of 55” narrow-bezel monitors. A tightrope digital signage solution with video wall support is provided for this installation.
Digital Signage Monitors & Café
Individual Monitors for Digital Signage and Menu Boards were placed throughout this building. These displays are connected to Tight Rope for content management. The Café music system is a simple system which reproduces audio from other background music sources.
This system has been installed successfully due to our years of higher education experience, preventative maintenance, and AV9000 standards.
